We work with owners, Boards and managers to help improve the profitability of SMBs. Individual Services Targeted, short term contracts for individual services, such as meeting facilitation and management workshops or contract management, provide the benefit of polished, productive outcomes for little cost. Extended Program We have a special expertise: we help businesses up to approximately $30 million in revenues, to transform their business from a "small" to a "medium sized" model over a one to two year period. We do so by completing the streamlining needed to move from what is often a "family" model to an effective and yet still friendly operation.

Small or medium-sized business/enterprise.
There are no hard and fast definitions of what constitutes 'small' or 'medium' sized. A business with revenues of $200,000 might consider one with over $1 million in revenues to be a large business.
The Small BusinessAdministration in the US provides support for some businesses having a maximum annual revenue of $750,000, yet in some sectors it also supports those with revenues up to $1 billion!
For our purposes, we use the following guidelines (C$):
| Business | $Revenues | # of employees | # of offices |
| Small | < $750,000 | < 10 | 1 |
| Medium | <$50 million | <150 | =>1 |
| Large | Over $50 million or 150 employees | ||
Business Performance Improvement (BPI) focuses directly on improving the financial bottom line.
The bottom line is improved by focusing on the business as a whole, getting the pieces to work more effectively together. Traditional approaches focus on improvements in individual areas of the business, like marketing, sales, or manufacturing. But this ignores the the "silo" effect of units not coordinating well, and often overlooks key symptoms common to all areas. Strengthening management teamwork leads to major gains.
We focus first on fundamentals:
Other consultant-intensive approaches may pay off but the initial cost is higher and benefits often delayed: you'll want to try simpler solutions first, and get to know and trust your consulting team.
